Recorder Karate Club

The “Recorder Karate” club will not meet for the 2024-2025 school year. Information below is for reference only!

“Recorder Karate” is a program where students learn recorder playing and performance skills through a series of increasingly difficult musical challenges over a period of nine weeks. Your student will have the opportunity to learn musical skills, earn rewards and be recognized for achievements (“belts”) throughout the length of the program.

Your student has been loaned a school owned recorder, at no cost to you, to use for the duration of the class. Recorders are to be returned to the music program at the end of the nine weeks. In the event of a lost, damaged or broken instrument, there will be a $3.00 replacement charge.

You will need to print out the student workbook, (also provided free of cost), found here:

Recorder Karate Student Workbook

Please print out the workbook and have your student place it in a 3 ring binder or folder. Students should bring their folder, recorder and a pencil to the club meeting each Wednesday. If you have any questions, or need assistance with respect to the student workbook, please feel free to contact me at: donator@lake.k12.fl.us

If you prefer to purchase the workbook instead, it can be found here:
